This is a five-part yoga nidra I wrote after attending Melanie Cooper’s Yoga Nidra Course. It’s about 10-15 minutes as I wrote it for the end of a lesson, rather than a session dedicated to a yoga nidra. It follows her templates quite closely, as this is the first one I’ve adapated. The five parts are:

  1. Arrival. A short physical relaxation as an introduction.
  2. Rotation of consciousness. This is based on a 61-point exercise (see Rotation of Consciousness: where the mind goes the prana flows).
  3. Simple breath awareness.
  4. Images. Using the five senses to evoke a safe place, person, or animal.
  5. Return. Slowly guiding the students back into their bodies.
